Gerald T. Bowns, M.D.
Dr. Bowns joined the
Pasadena Eye Medical Group in the fall of 2000. A Pasadena
physician for over twenty years, he has developed a practice
which includes both general and pediatric ophthalmology. Dr.
Bowns has extensive experience with ophthalmic medical problems,
cataract surgery and other surgical procedures in adults as
well as the particular eye problems of children. These include
vision problems, amblyopia (lazy eye), treatment of strabismus
and childhood cataracts.
Ralph S. Riffenburgh, M.D.
Dr. Riffenburgh has
practiced ophthalmology in Pasadena for more than forty years.
His clinical experience and special interest in eye pathology
have given him a depth of knowledge and special understanding
of how various diseases affect the eye and their natural clinical
course. His dedication and work in the community have helped
to establish Pasadena Eye Medical Group’s reputation over
the years.
Meriel L. Wu, M.D.
Dr. Wu has practiced
ophthalmology in Pasadena for over twenty years, providing patient-focused
care, diagnosing diseases and problems of the eyes and eyelids
and treating them both medically and surgically. She has extensive
experience in treating cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration
and other eye problems. Her practice also includes measuring
refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism
and presbyopia), prescribing glasses and filling contact lenses.
She performs laser procedures and laser refractive surgery (LASIK.)
Dr. Wu has been an active member of the Huntington Memorial
Hospital for over twenty years and has served as Chairman of
the Ophthalmology section.
David D. Yu, M.D.
Dr. Yu is fellowship
trained in corneal and external diseases. In addition to general
ophthalmology, he has a special interest in corneal and refractive
procedures, including LASIK for the correction of nearsightedness,
farsightedness and astigmatism. He also performs state-of-the-art
cataract surgery, corneal transplants, and laser procedures
for glaucoma and retinal diseases. Dr. Yu has served as Chairman
of the Ophthalmology Section at Huntington Memorial Hospital
and is also on the clinical faculty at L.A. County/USC Medical
Center. He has performed thousands of successful surgeries and
is a trusted member of the medical community.
