Ralph S. Riffenburgh, M.D.

Dr. Riffenburgh did his undergraduate work at Caltech and the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and has had extensive medical training, including a medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, an internship at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, and an ophthalmology course at Washington University in St. Louis, where he also completed a fellowship. Besides the positions listed below, he has served as a police reserve officer for the South Pasadena Police Department (attaining the rank of commander), and is currently a police reserve pilot for the San Bernardino Sheriff Aero Squadron. In 1995 he was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Doheny Eye Institute-USC Department of Ophthalmology for his many contributions to eye research.
